Such is the case of Antiqvvm, set in a singular building beside the Museu Romântico, and boasting a pleasant garden where you can enjoy a meal… with one of the most idyllic views over the Douro! In its elegant rooms, which combine classic and contemporary details with undeniable good taste, chef Vítor Matos champions creative cuisine with elegant dishes of “only apparent” simplicity that conceal an ode to the product (scarlet prawn, red mullet, caviar, wagyu, black truffle…). In his own words, the chef seeks to "promote the values of a natural, cultural, evolutionary, social and artistic cuisine” and proposes two tasting menus: Orgânico (vegetarian) and Ensaios Sensoriais (Sensory Rehearsals) with incredible dishes such as Violet Prawn & Moqueca and the Sea Bass & Curry. The experience also includes a showcooking station, where guests can observe the preparation of the snacks served at the beginning.
